Hey man - it'd be cool if you could make it over! The more the merrier 'n all that!!

Saying that, I have managed to seriously injure my left hand index finger playing 5-a-side and it is currently strapped up quite heavily with just over two weeks to the gig!

Indeed that was too bad. It was a great party . At least I was playing in a band again for once.

A friend of mine asked him to play in his classic rock band - which i'll do - we will be performing all over holland next year.

Cool! You should get some of your stuff up on youtube once it's up and running. Best of luck with that man.

Managed to get a copy of our rendition of 'I Believe' up on the web now.

It's a bit ropey in places but for the most part it's alright.

And this is not what a guitarist wants to see a week away from a gig. In fact, it's not what a guitarist wants to see full stop...

Suffice to say I won't be playing for a while.

EDIT: Gig's still on though - replacement guitarist standing in for this as a one-off.

**** man howd u manage that? :-S

long u out of action for?

i wont be making the gig next week.

i had this conversation the other night:

me: alright mate we've got a gig up in baillieston next to the car auction in november

bass player: it's not in the brig is it?

me:....... ummmm.....

bass player: i would really rather not play there.

me: what you on about, you drink in some of the shittiest pubs in the town....

bass player: says alot for the brig then doesn't it....

im not too fussed since moneys money and im not working just now but i'm going a recce mission next saturday to see what their band set up is and see if there's any chance of my stab wound allergy flaring up.

Busted it playing fives a couple of weeks ago and didn't get it checked out till last Tuesday. Just figured I'd badly bruised/sprained it but, when the bruising had gone and I found the swelling remained coupled with the fact that I had a new ability to hyper-extend the finger beyond what could feasibly be called 'normal', I figured there was something a little more wrong with it than I had first anticipated. The x-ray kinda outlined where the problem was.

The doc said I should be out for about 6 weeks and I have to visit the fracture clinic weekly to assess how well it's healing which at the moment is apparently, 'not very well'.

It's funny how those stab wound allergies can flare up - you have to really watch them!
