The battery is pretty new, so that shouldn't be the problem... Also it's charging just fine, 14 amp an hour, that's fine too.

It's just that probably it never gets to charge that much, and then when I don't use it that much the cd etc take so much power even when turned on that it just empties...

It was running for five hours now, it should be charged now (here's hoping). I guess I'll see tomorrow!

That doesn't make much sense if it is a new battery. You shouldn't have any problems with it at all. Sounds to me like it could be defective.

When relatively new batteries do that there can be a short in the system somewhere that is draining them rapidly. It happened to me recently and it turned out that the switch that lowers the back window was starting to burn out and short. One day it failed completely - lovely electrical burning smell . Once it was replaced - the battery was fine again.
