Mouse doesn't need to know what it means. It's quite stupid to use a Dutch word as 'boeie' in your English reply. It makes that I take your reply not seriously and, if I'm not mistaken, neither does Mouse.

LOL, this is an English board - people expect you to reply in English. If people start throwing some Japanese words in their replies to you, you couldn't take that very seriously too, could you? Or would you call that kneuzig too?

Desperate to show off the many languages we "know", are we?

Not desperate- I'm proud of it that I speak a few languages. English is accepted the most in the world, but it's not the only language! Everyone is supposed to speak it, but if you go on holiday to France for example, try then AT LEAST to speak a few words of French!

Thank you so much for the information. I most certainly know that since English is not my mother tongue. But I don't go throwing foreign phrases away at and *English-language* forum.
