Default Guilty pleasure?

Is anyone [else] experienceing a guilty pleasure due to the fact that the war in Iraq isn't going as well as the US and co thought it would?

(not because people are dying, but because Iraq isn't the push over that it was taken for.)

For me, it just means that it will be longer drawn out. Because, sorry to say, but Americans dont give up - unfortunatly.
This also means, that if this goes on long enough (which it might as well do) the goverment will institute another draft - and many of my fellow classmates and family members (not to mention a certain person close to my heart) will be effected, and possibly sent off and never seen again.
Its quite sad. I just wish all this never happened in the first place, but alas - it was going to happen eventually.

Yes, but the us were arrogant in there assumption that iraq would lay down. I do hope it ends soon through as the americans are leaving all the hard cities to the brits. If they think that basra is hard to take imagine how they will respond when they move into baghdad.

No it was never said but has been the message that the americans have put out. With all the were moving so much faster than can be expected stuff not that there heading into the actuall cities they aint havin so much of a easy ride those pockets if resistance are quickly becoming armys.

I was thinking the same thing. I thought I missed something. I recall Bush saying there will be causalities, and this will not be easy.
