I think that situations such as this are the result of the well documented battle between Napster and the music industry. After they were ordered to remove copyrighted material from the system another method had to be introduced by fans to ahare their copyrighted material. Since bootleg tracks are not protected by copyright laws people started to rename files so it would appear that another artist had performed the song. This is the only logical conclusion that I have been able to come up with regarding this topic. Happy downloading everyone.

For those who didn't know, I once read somewhere about the dispute between Jon and Axl;

After the success of SWW and NJ, Bon Jovi had a lot of money, so Jon and Richie ventured into creating their own Record Label: Bon Jovi Underground. They signed bands such as Cinderella and The Scorpions (I think), but Bon Jovi took too much of the profit. Axl Rose stood up for these artists, who where not being paid much, and Richie paid back his share of the profit, wheras Jon refused.

As far as I know, this is what caused the dispute.

My site has a list of all the confirmed songs that BJ (and solo members) have covered over the years. The only missing one is Celluloid Hero as I've not updated the site yet.
