we did play some great flair rugby, just not against the big teams.

Its a minor part of the game is all I can say. I used to be of the same point of view but I was converted because I sat down with my girlfriend who's always been a big rugby fan and saw that it isn't all just head-bashing and blood. It is a great sport and probably the only one that we English are any good at!

In the final - we were inches away from scoring 2 more try's & played far better rugby than Australia. Anyone that didn't think we played rugby just generally doesn't have a clue.

Well I'd say that I generally have a bit of a clue about the game (Note sarcasm), and I'd say that England played dissapointing rugby all through the tournament compared to what I, and everybody else knows they are capable of. The final was probably their strongest performance in the knockout stages, and even overall, and it wasn't exactly awe-inspiring to be honest.

Exactly. How many handling errors and mistakes did we make during the final? I lost count so please remind me. That to me is poor rugby. In fact if Elton Flatley had kicked as well as he had during the rest of the tournament, we'd have lost. Yes, ok Jonny was kicking shite as well but at least he nailed the penalties - if Australia had managed their kicks we couldn't have got the result we did based on our overall performance on the day.
