Yes, there is. In Saxony and I believe 4 other states October 31st is a holiday. It is called Reformationstag and it is because of Martin Luther (not King) who 'reformed' Catholic Church to what became Protestantism. So in Protestant states like Saxony the holiday is on the last of October.
