July 21st!!

But it's exactly a week before my wedding! Two things can happen: either I'll be oblivious of all the last minute arrangements and read without a care or else I will be very bad-humoured while tending to the last minute stuff because I'm not allowed to read calmly

Humph!

Okay, I know it could have been worse: it could have been released on the wedding day itself

Now that would make for an interesting honeymoon! LOL "Shove off, honey, I'm trying to read!"

But it will be something like that if I don't have to read it during that previous week, I swear

Cannot wait to read the last book!
It is sad it is the last one though.

Am guessing it will be all over the papers like last time, just hope they dont give away too much!

I'll be collecting my copy first thing Saturday and I'll be reading it until I finish - hopefully I'll have it finished by the time I go to work on Monday and I won't have turned the TV or radio on, nor bought a paper in that time - in fact I'll probably not even leave the house! Can't wait.

I'll be getting my copy as soon as the shops open on Saturday - no midnight parties or anything around here I'm really excited. And what with all my books packed and gone and barely nothing left to read I'm desperately waiting for Saturday to come around and lay my hands on it at last!

And I have so many things to do that I definitely don't see how I'm going to be able to read the book - no rushing - in just the week after the release and before the wedding. I guess I'll have to leave something for after the wedding day. Hmmmm... ever saw a bride whose mind is not quite there?

Oh well, a few days afterwards I have a few hours on the train on our way to Barcelona. I guess Becky's words of wisdom will come in handy then

So, seeing as I will be a late 'reader', may I ask everyone else to warn of spoilers here?

I'm just gonna avoid this topic like hell and try not to read ANYTHING about HP before I can read it. This will be an immensely hard (if not impossible) thing to do, since I gotta wait until the Dutch translation's out. You see, I was really being stupid when I picked up my first HP book since it was the translated version. I'm so used to all the translated names that the original version wouldn't make as much sense to me as the translated version will.

Bah.

Oh, that's awful. But I know what you mean. My mum reads the series in Spanish and it feels like reading an altogether different story. I feel lost

I think I might get the book tomorrow night! (Not rubbing it in, Alex, I swear ). There's a shop - something similar to a large newsagents (selling books and CDs) but with restaurant, etc. here - which, since it always closes after midnight, might have it. I guess I'll take a trip there after midnight and see if they have it.

Well, I'm used ot it by now. I think I picked up my first HP when either Prisoner of Azkaban came out or Goblet of Fire. I'll live. I think

Nonetheless: have fun with it, Cristina!
