Cant stand HArry Potter. Makes me laugh when a new book is released and all the geeks queue up from midnight to buy it!! When I went on holiday they showed it on the plane and I fell asleep watching it.

Well, I didn't queue up, but I did buy it within a week.. haven't read it yet though!
I understand what you mean in the sense that it is such a hype. It took me forever to read the first 4 books.. hate following the mainstream but I must admit, the books are great, very readable and highly enjoyable.
I guess this type of book has to grab your fancy though..

Ive just read the first book and have to say it was the first book ive read fully for ages! I gotta say though if JK Rowling was around when i was at school i wouldve read it then! She is a good author just like R Dahl. I do have to say i havent seen the films and hahve no intention of doing so!

Sorry maybe that was a litle harsh. It just gets on my nerves when you cant get away form it when a new books released.
