I really like the series...and used to be an all out Potter fanatic, but i seem to have out grown that phase in life; i've stopped rereading the books over and over again :P

I liked the first 2 movies, but they could've been a hell of a lot better -- so i'm hoping with Alfonso Cuarno as director instead of Chris Columbus that it'll be a hell of a lot darker and just plain better. The trailer does look promising :P

I read books nr. 1-4 (and not only once ) and I'm reading the order of the phoenix now... and watched all the movies... I think I can be called a HP-fan I like the books better than the movies.

But I have to admit, some parts I consider too weird and frightening for children - even I got wild dreams because I read too long once

oh wow! seriously? no way!!!

but the harry potter books are cool. but the only reason i read them was because i teacher of mine told the english class one day that its good to read books that everyone is talking about so you can make up your own mind about it. so the first HP book i picked up was 'the chamber of secrets' and loved it. its amazing to see how much each book progresses.
i'd say the poorest of the lot would be 'the philosopher's stone'. the second one was A LOT better

Harry Potter is great!

I've read all books (some of them twice ) and I'm anxiously waiting for the 6th

The films are ok but I prefer the books. In the movies you miss many things after having read the books (I read the books before seeing the films) because some things have to be left out or the films would last for hours and hours

Let's see how's the new director's verions of Book 3. I recently posted a link to the trailer here. The trailer looked good, but the film will only appear some time before the summer

You'll be waiting for the 6th book in no time, Becky!!! :P

I love Harry Potter! I had seen the movies but I hadn't read the books. Then, this summer I bought all the books and really enjoyed them. I don't know how they are going to make the next books into movies. The first two movies were already over two hours and those are the shortest books. They are going to have to cut a lot from the next few books to keep the movies under 3 hours.

Yeah, The Cronicles of Narnia is a great series. Oh wait. We're talking about Potter and how glorious it is. I guess I shouldn't be here.

I agree... Those are good books. But The Lord Of The Rings series is definently the best.
