Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince ~~~SPOILERS~~~

Not a bad idea.

I finished reading it today. I actually liked the story with the teens, but thought it dragged on a bit. I would have preferred a bit more action. The ending...well...like someone said, it is setting things up for the next one, but couldn't she have given us a bit more? Maybe even have Vold make an appearance or something? Not bad, but I think the last one will be awesome.

Just finished it... I am in shock that Dumbledore died!! I know she was going to kill off an important character but Dumbledore????
Anyway, loved it! Thought it was a really exciting read. Who is RAB?? Ideas anyone? Will Dumbledore come back to help in ghostly form?? Can't wait for the next one!

Yeah, I am hoping that ol' Dumb will come back to help out. Otherwise I will miss him.

Wont he be in the portrait in the headmasters study anyway and be able to communicate that way? Even thought Harry isnt going back.

I dont like the way she is killing people off...First Siruis...now Dumbldore...whos next?

OMG... she sunk my ship. I just read an interview on The Leaky Cauldron and she sunk Harry/Hermione. She said Ron/Hermione is the real thing. I don't get it. I've LOOKED for Ron/Hermione and found nothing of substance.

You didn't see that one coming?? Them two have been destined to get together for years!! I'm surprised it has taken this long. Harry and Ginny I think is a great match though and I think they'll get back together when Voldemort is dead.

I wonder if she will kill Voldemort....Shes only killed the good guys so far...

True.. but I think the grand ending will have to be Voldemort dying and Snape getting what he deserves!

No, I saw that Ron liked Hermione. That was pretty obvious. But it looked more like Hermione liked Harry. She remained friends with Harry in GOF when Ron deserted him. Krum was jealous of Harry because she talked about him--he wasn't jealous of Ron. If Hermionne liked Ron, why did she use Harry leaving Ron's party in OOTP as an excuse for her to do so? Why were she and Harry grabbing each other all the time in OOTP? Why was Cho jealous of Hermione? Why did Harry put Hermione ahead of Cho? Why is Hermione the voice in Harry's head? If Hermione liked Ron why was she thrilled to death when she thought Harry was a prefect and then couldn't think of a nice thing to say about Ron when she found out she was wrong? Why, when Ginny was being directly threatened by Bellatrix, did Harry grab Hermione and pull her to safety? Why didn't OOTP have Ginny split off with Harry's group so we could get to see her in action? Why did Hermione's injuries keep Harry from having a rational thought and Ginny's injuries barely registered?

I don't see Harry/Ginny as a good match. Hermione is is equal. She's the female lead in the series. She's the only one I find a believable helpmate for him in his upcoming battle. If love is the key, then why has JKR spent 5 books developing this incredibly strong bond between Harry and Hermione only to toss that aside for Ginny-Sue?

With Ron and Hermione, I see two people with very different interests and concerns who don't even treat each other with respect. If they weren't both friends with Harry, it seems they wouldn't be friends with each other.
