I remember our drama teacher at school filled in once for our German teacher who was ill, and she had us all stand up and sing head, shoulders, knees and toes in German, along with the appropriate actions - and I should perhaps clarify, this was German GCSE so we were all 15-16 years old at the time

And there was me thinking all my life that it was one of those typically Dutch children's songs, but there seems to be an English and even German version as well? I'm shocked!

Hoofd, schouders, knie en teen...

Well in English it does rhyme I suppose, I remember when we had to sing it in German and it sounded just 'wrong'

Well as a teacher i can say that we do this pretty regularly in my class, the only difference is my students are in kindergarten and are 5 and 6 not 15 and 16!

The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

That's funny, I remember having to sing this in my French class once - and we were also 15-16.

tete, epaules, genoux, orteils ...
