Im doing the scan now ...
Anyway ... trough the other program I got red and green boxes in the left corner - bottom) ... Now red means the popup is blocked and the green means it isn't blocked?? Am I having this right Kathleen?? Cause there have been popups coming up and they have a green box ... is there anyway I can block them? Or am I getting this whole thing wrong?

Generally - the popup blocker blocks most (not all) popups from the internet. If spyware is on your computer it won't block them - they are generated from inside so to speak. Ad Aware should identify the spyware and delete it. You should click on the settings for ad aware and change them to suit you. Do you want them deleted automatically? Do you want ad-aware to start automatically upon booting up? You will find the settings under the little gear (sort of grayed out) at the top of the main page next to the name Ad Aware.
If after all this you STILL get popups the only thing that i found to work was to install Norton Anti-Virus 2004. I was having similar problems and nothing worked - there is another program called Spy Bot and I had that too. Both ad aware and spy bot said that no spyware was on my computer. BUT - Norton Anti-Virus 2004 had new definitions of spyware and virus and when I ran it - it found 19 files that were spyware (not viruses). When it deleted those files - the popups FINALLY stopped. By the way - one of the worst sites for spyware is crackspider.net. If you are trying to find a crack for software - you can get hammered.

Use Mozilla Firebird. Internet Explorer should be destroyed and banned from ever being installed into ANY computer.

I'll check it out - I really had a problem over Christmas. The spyware problem caused my machine to slow to a crawl and the popups were a pain in the as*. And I know about this stuff and was able to take care of it - what about all the people that can't deal with it?

That's why there's Firebird with inbuilt Pop-up killer. You can disable it easily, with on click on pages that need pop-ups... Plus tabbed browser, fully skinnable, stable, no Netscape bugs...

Now I don't know a lot of computers but I downloaded the 2 things Kathleen gave me ... I scanned my pc with ad-aware and suddenly nothing seemed to be working anymore ... Couldn't print, couldn't use the internet, ...... And my pc was incredebly sloooooooooooooow ... I got insane (again hehe) ... One of my neighbours worked on it for 3 years and didn't found what the problem was ... So right now my pc is in the shop again to re-install the whole thing again and Im using a replace-pc at the moment ... Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhh
