Help needed from SPANISH speaking people!

Hi!

My cousin is going to marry with a Spanish girl. I want to write something on the wedding card in Dutch and in Spanish, but the problem is that I don't speak Spanish. So I was wondering if someone on this board could help me with the translation....

I want to write the following:

Congratulations on your wedding! I wish you both lots of luck and happiness. Have a great time in Spain and make it a day you will never forget!

Or something like that. Are there any special things you say in Spanish when someone gets married?

Well I hope you can help me out! The translation tools on the internet are not very well... most of the time they translate litterary what you type so I prefer a translation from someone who really speaks the language

I'd translate it as follows:


¡Enhorabuena! Os deseo toda la suerte y felicidad del mundo. ¡Pasadlo muy bien en España y haced que sea un día inolvidable!

So that's what I'd say taken into account what you wrote. We usually just say "¡Enhorabuena!" and left out the wedding (or whatever) thing since it's quite obvious most of the time.

Also, what I wrote is not formal, seeing as they're members of your family, etc.

Anyway, I hope it's okay and that they like it. It certainly sounds like a cute idea!

I don't think there's anything that we usually say when someone gets married, just congratulations and all that.
