Hello Folks,

On my daughter's laptop someone hacked in and placed a copy of blazing tools keystroker programme which then took screen shots of the pc and recorded all the keystrokes and sent them at 5 mins intervals. It also placed at least 10 copies of the downloader.def.5virus and also placed mutliple registery entries in the laptop.

To fix this she virus scanned the pc and quarantined them and then deleted the restore points , ran multiple spyware scanners which claim to have deleted it but everytime laptop is turned on its still there in the bar at the bottom of pc. The control alt delete button doesnt work, cant find the task manager . When pc is turned on it comes up with dll hook error.
Do I have any hope at all or should I just unistall and reinstall XP from scratch?

Any advice would be appreciated.
