One of the easiest ways to block pop ups is to install the Google Toolbar. Also using Netscape Navigator to browse the web helps, that has a built in pop up blocker. |

Try this first, I assume if you are using Internet Explorer at the moment you are happy so stick with that.
If it doesn't work switch to Netscape Navigator. It takes a while to get used to but I find it much easier to use than IE.
