Default Help with burning a DVD-Video

Hey.

I'd just like to ask a quick question.

I've download a DVD via a torrent (ie. the files are in .VOB format, just like the are on a DVD) and I was just wondering do you simple burn them onto a DVD+R as a data disc or do you need to encode them as an actual DVD video?

This is the first time I've ever tried this as I've not long had a DVD+RW drive and I don't really want to waste a disc just incase it won't work.

The software I'm using is Roxio Easy Media Creator 9 LE and there doesn't seem to be a feature that says "DVD-Video creator" or anything similar, just "data disc".

Thank you in advance to those who reply.

IF they are VOB files then that is already DVD-Video format. If you have the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders you can just do them as a data disc and it should work just fine.

They're not already in folders. So all I have to do is make 2 folders called VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS and place the corresponding .VOB files in each one, yeah?

You only need the files in the VIDEO_TS folder. The other folder is for DVD-Audio discs.

Yes. And all the .BUP and .IFO - files as well. Usually everything but the info.txt
