Hillary goes all Janet...

Is it possible for you Adrian, (or the press) to dislike a Presidential candidate without making fun of them? Or taking cheap shots?

If you dislike her so much Adrian you would be better served to state facts rather than poking fun. You not only trivialize the candidate by doing that - you trivialize yourself. No one will take you seriously - or listen to counter-arguments if the worst you can say about a candidate concerns their looks.

I have a feeling no one would be upset with me if I were drinking the Bush/Chimp kool-aid.

I don't give damn about how ugly Hillary is. Ok, that's not true, I wish I could unsee that low-cut shirt she wore. What I do care about is the fact that she casts votes that can decide the future of the country. She wants to drive the country off a freaking cliff (at 90 though, with the Republicans you go off at a leisurely 75), and the crowd she runs with enable and inspire her and each other in a horrible feedback loop. That she's seriously being considered as a Presidential candidate is just a tribute to how totally messed up this country is, and how totally the @$$clown we call a "President" has ruined what could've been a decent political party.

When I post about her "issues" like socialized medicine, driving up prices and driving people out of jobs by raising the minimum wage, and making a criminal out of me for owning tools of protection, people insult my intelligence and tell me to get out more. Looks like I'm screwed either way. Doesn't bother me though, don't take this for complaining. I find it gently amusing.

The woman looks respectable to me, and I see no offense in the way she was dressed. Must be me only.

But this thread is a bit of a let down though, I mean, I thought it was about Hillary Duff being caught with one (or both) of her boobs out.

i thought she musta popped out or something then i saw the photo and thought... wtf you can barely see a thing. that's like something a teacher would wear. it's not exactly provocative and not what i'd consider someone showing off a cleavage.

suppose it makes sense the evangelical whacko's would get all hot under the collar: "oh noez that communist woman looks like she might have breasts, get the shotgun hank"

I have just read every thread I could find on the Virginia Tech Massacre and not once did I find a post of mine making fun of Bush's looks. I saw the picture of Bush with the Glock in that thread but I never had anything to say about it. You must have me confused with someone else. The main thread is here:

I may make fun of Bush's policies because I think it has been shown that they have failed but I don't make fun of his looks. I like to think that I am not that shallow.

Exactly you didn't say anything about it. My point was that you didn't ride the PhotoChop person for making fun of an individual instead of their policies.

PhotoChopper and I both posted something that was in poor taste. (Though I admittedly KNEW what I posted was, he was totally ignorant of the fact)

He made a stupid Bush joke and got ignored. I made a stupid Hillary joke, and I'm taking cheap shots and trivializing myself. I'm trying to show a disconnect here.

So you're bothered because I noticed (and said something) about your post but not his? I don't even know who PhotoChopper is but you post against Hillary constantly. Your post coupled with the terrible coverage this past week by respected newpapers deserved an answer. The photo of Bush was so bad it was better ignored in my opinion. Particularly in the tragic thread that it was posted in.
