I can't believe your schools don't have air conditioning.

It's been really cool here today because there's a hurricane in the Gulf, so it's in the upper 70's. It's usually in the 90's in June and we see many days over 100 and heat indexes in the 110's or higher in July and August, and sometimes in September.

The Heat Index (HI) is the temperature the body feels when heat and humidity are combined. We use the humidex in Canada, which is pretty much the same thing. This week, the temperature with the humidex has been well above 40 degrees. Those temperatures and standing beside two ovens that are blowing over 500 degrees fahrenheit does not make for pleasant days at work.

We had a heat wave a couple of weeks ago, with temperatures in the 90s, but now we are back in the 60s. In the pacific northwest, we have neither very hot summers nor very cold winters. Year round, the average temperature is between the 50s and 70s. We don't tolerate temperature differences too well and we'd like to stay at a steady 62 degrees year round!! LOL.

In the summers we do get a few weeks in the high 80s or low 90s (low 30s in celsius) and everybody moans and complains begging for some cloudy/rainy days For the most part, the summer is in the low 80s, high 70s (around 25 Celsius) === just about perfect

Here its already touching 45-48 degree C during day and it will cross 50 from next month.... Well they don't show it 50+ offically coz or else they need to declare the holiday...
Mate...you win!
It gets hot here in Adelaide...can have runs of days [last heatwave was 17 days over 38'c] but never 50'c!!! I can hack it when it's the sort of humidity that they have in Queensland, but here we get dry humidity...and that is woeful.

Thats so much remind me the time i was in banglore.... That is such a great place to live in and temperature never used to get much higher then 35 C during summer and not less then 10 during winter, it was just perfect... But sadly it has changed, may be mainly due to too much population and air polution...
Oh i miss so much our mansoon rain.......... I used to hate it one time coz i thought we had too much rain, but then time came when i just can;t have enough rain, mainly coz not much rain anymore....

Damn!!!! summer.... go away soooon

I think the maximum I've seen here was two summers ago when we reached 48ºC An average summer would be around 42ºC tops. These days we're getting up to 38ºC already. It's all very dry around here so it's a very different heat from humid places where the temperatures are lower but they feel worse.

It seems I am the only one who loves the hot weather, lol. A few weeks ago I was in Seville and one day it was 39º, I had no problem at all...

However I noticed I couldn't stand how hot it was the first week I was in Argentina in January, it was around 40º. It took me more than a week to get used to it.
