Now it's been 15-20 ºC but I think it'll get to 20-30 ºC later this summer. I think 30 ºC is as high as it usually gets, if even there. 20-25 ºC would be perfect for me.

No, it means what it feels like outside, not what the actual temperature is.

Same here. I prefer temperatures around 20°C.

Here it's getting up to 85 consistantly, er, at least it has this past week. I think it might've hit 90 yesterday. It doesn't get too hot here - occasionally we'll have days in the mid/high 90s but that's incredibly rare. 70s and 80s are the norm for summer.

when I came back to the UK years ago the winters here were terrible, snow drifts and very cold, over the last 20 years the snow is now minimal and it is warmer in general even in the winter.

The UK summers used to be for 2wks it was a standing joke, but now it can get quite warm. It is never hot enough for me, because Ive lived in foreign countries so once you have experienced that type of heat England just never feels hot enough...... last summer was a wash out and this summer isnt living up to much either if it carries on like this Im USA bound.....

I know what you mean with the dry heat. I definitely prefer dry heat over humidity. Arizona has a very dry heat and when I was there in August it would get up to 40/45 degrees and they had misters outside which were fabulous to sit in front of when having lunch outside. That kind of heat, I can do, though going for a run at 5pm in 40 degrees bone dry heat is quite the experience lol.

The South Florida humidity is what I can't stand. Yuck!

I'll be spending the best part of August in Barcelona and everytime I complain about the *dry* heat in Madrid my boyfriend kindly reminds me that over there is going to be all humid heat. He's really scaring me :P

Ugh yes. I wouldn't survive one summer there.
