Oh, and I guess the differences with the Soul threads is that these are posted by people who are genuinely interested not by people who adore a team just because Jon happens to own it
It just seems like the same people that bitched about the Soul posts, are the ones making NUMEROUS threads about the Euro Football... I just think it could all go in one big thread.. Whats the problem with that?

Ryan
No this is completely different, we bitched about them becos they were in the WRONG forum. Anyway, only a handful of people were bothered about Soul, this is more popular round here. Ok, the England threads got out of hand and now we have one thread for the tournament. Maybe you should just have one thread for Heather and telling us when you go and return here
Exactly!

**** off Ryan, You can skip the threads if you want to. So far, you are the only person who has been complaining about them.

Classic. If I didn't know better I'd say you were from Glasgow.

How come?
You know shite about football just sounds very Glaswegian.
Hehe. To me it sounds British. By language, you are the best folks in this world. LOL
I'm not very agreeing kind of person as u might already know...but in this case I have to agree big time. If I was forced to move to another country, it would deff be england. Dunno how or why but I do find you brits quite bearable people. Unlike some, uhm, friendly nationalities u seem more like down-to-earth like us finns. Plus being addicted to beer is only a plus-side.....
few exceptions there though, even among this community
There are good and bad things about living in England as a Finn - some things that seem just 'wrong', and some things are really good. I guess that's just like anything.

But Jimbo, surely if that was in Glaswegian it would be 'shite aboot football' or 'shite aboot fitba' ???

Thanks Jim! I'm a bit of a geek when it comes to Scots I love the language, and for the past half a year have been quite absorbed in it, studying it for my master's thesis. It's so cool, I wish I knew it even better. Glaswegian is one of the dialects that is most researched and documented also, and is my favourite.

Jim Bon Jovi's useless trvivia: when voice recognition technology was being developed for computer systems. a team of researchers took thousands of different dialogues from the deepest parts of Russia to California and for some reason or other Glaswegian was the most compatible with the computer to understand.

Laura's useless trivia: The usage of the definite article in Scots seems to take it's model from Gaelic, and not from English, which would've been much more 'logical'. Why, how, I yet don't know - I'll get back on that later

In addition it was also the Irish monks that brought the written Gaelic language to Scotland... or so I've been told!!

My gosh people... I asked a tiny question... Some people just get way too hyped up. Teemu, very immature. Carli, I'm sorry if I offended you in some way... There's just so many of them that they could be taken care of. I don't think anything about Heather is half of all the Football threads here anyways. I just asked a question and I don't feel like I should be bitched out. Anyways, I'm sorry.
