You could try hitting print screen on the keyboard
and then hitting paste in word or whatever picture programme you use

...or there is probably an easier way I dont know about yet

Isn't there a 'capture' function on your DVD software?

Yes either a "capture function" on your software or you just make a simple screen catpure of the passage you want

Are you using Windows Media Player 10? If you are then it's ctrl+i But on my other DVD programme you have to upgrade to get that feature, so perhaps that's the case with you too.

Print screen doesn't work or there'd be no need for that function.

Print Screen works with Hyper Snap DX or some other "advanced" grabber programme.

The print-screen key on your keyboard won't work eith some programs, but most DVD playing programs do feature a capture mode to capture to the clipboard, to paste into your photo editing software, or to capture to a saved file. On the control panel of your DVD playing software look for an icon of a camera or something like that.
