I've got a 10 months daughter and 3 French/Norwegian nieces who are 7, 5 and 3 years old.

on my behalf here... you're wrong. this is not an english/american message board, it's a bon jovi message board. therefore all of us can participate, no matter our skills in english.
after all, there are quite a few native speakers here who are much less understandable than the non native english speakers.

It's kind of arrogant to jump on people for getting words mixed up in a language that is foreign to them. Does it really matter that every word isn't perfect? There are plenty of people who speak English as a first language who post inarticulate error-filled posts. What's their excuse?

Anyway, I don't have kids. I'd like to have a kid someday. Maybe.

you as well as the OP apparently missed the point. Ok for you as you may not have participated in the other thread I was referring to. Not ok for him.

Judgemental people shouldn't be surprised to find others being judgemental with them if the situation arises....

I have a son, 8.

I totally agree with what you say at some points but you obviously overread my post. I said this was a english speaking message board. Not an american message board or anything like that. How many threads do you see with any other language? I just don't understand why people who don't speak much English would post a message thinking that we'd understand what he or she is saying. This is a case where we did which doesn't bother me much.

so only because this is an english speaking message board someone that doesnt speak correctly the language can't post and ask questions, share their ideas? is it so hard for people to understand when other make mistakes, are people so dumb!? it's not like if you don't understand you can't ask them to explain better, i think you're all so damn pickey

I never said they couldn't do all of the above, I said I just am not understanding why? I'm not saying it's annoying, or that that it bothers me. I just think a lot us wouldn't go to another message board where they were typing a language we didn't understand much of. I mean, I agree that everyone has the freedom of speech, it doesn't bother me any. The only thing I am typically picky about is understanding the post. In this case, I understood.
