indeed.
Get this. my girlfriend of 2+ yrs, i got talking about D-day etc and noticed a kind of lost look on her face.. it turns out she didnt know 1)what d day was 2)what year either world war was 3)leader of britain during the war 3)that the japanese were in the same war 4) that other countries contributed to the war
 i could not believe it. i was actually very annoyed.. and her older sister (shes 23) didnt know either (she got the dates right and knew d-day was ''saving private ryan'') my girlfriendss 19 and studying LAW at Uni

OMG how could you not know that? i'm sorry to put your girlfriend down but that is so sad and shows the decline in our education system especialy when it comes to history
