Well, there's a reason why the both wars are called 1st and 2nd WORLD war - because there were none before them! With their global involvement, their millions of deads and their unprecedented massive cruelty of mankind, with all that and much more, they are the symbols that each and every war is evil.
It's not about being unfair to victims in former wars, quite the contrary.
