When I was allergy tested they soooo wanted me to be allergic to my cats and dogs it was outright annoying and I told them so. As soon as they hear you have cats and dogs they immediately conclude ALL your health problems must stem from that. I told them that my symptoms were the same whether I lived with cats or not, but they really wanted a solution and the easiest would be if I was allergic to cats and dogs. They did my allergy testing 3 (THREE) times because they couldn't believe I wasn't allergic to cats or dogs, or anything else for that matter and they just didn't like that answer. Instead of thinking of other tests/causes, they just did the same test over and over until I told them what they are doing is totally silly. The doctor finally agreed, though not after strongly suggesting I do some sort of allergy shot session. *rolls eyes*

My sister had terrible sinus problems in her youth and she got the usual antibiotics, light therapy, etc. Finally, she went to a holistic doctor and he told her to stop all wheat and rye. She did that for over a year and her sinus problem cleared completely. Even though she went back to eating some wheat and rye, it never got as bad again.

I am with you! I've had my thyroid levels checked at least 6 times this year alone. Doctors keep ordering the test b/c I have the symptoms, so treat the freaking symptoms or try a different test! I really haven't attempted a holistic method. I doubt there's enough of a market for holistic method for there to even be someone who practices it around here.

My sleep varies, sometimes it's really good, sometimes (as last night) it's awful: I'll take a good couple of hours to drop off, then wake up about a million times. And I need a lot of sleep, otherwise I can't function properly Maybe I should see a doctor at some point, dunno if its worth it though

My sleep is generally ok!...it depends what is going on. I find exercise and alot of fresh air help me to go out like a light...It as though I have too much whizzing about in me and if I haven't got rid of that by the end of the day I can't sleep well.

i usually get by with my sleep but i wish i could chnge my pattern.

ill usually go to bed at 1 or 2. i'll get up for uni at half 7 or 8ish most days but ill also fall asleep for an hour most nights around 7 which i could be doing without.

if i dont have anything pressing to get up for i tend to sleep really badly too

i don't think i'd ever really want to take anything for it unless it got really bad and started affected my waking hours.

my sleeps been totally shot over the christmas period for obvious reasons but im planning on going to bed at midnight tonight and getting back into a regular and sensible pattern for studying.

on a different note.... lack of sleep can be quite productive. the dude who taught guitar at my high school said he would work out songs and chords in his head when he couldn't sleep and i told my brother about a business plan i had, he couldnt sleep last night and this morning he'd sussed out just about every details we'd need to do it.
