When I go to the cinema I usually walk, probably about 3 miles, and I don't think I'd bother getting a car, if I go further I tend to get a bus or train.

As a society though we are definitely far more lazy, people use their cars for short trips, people shop online even doing their food shopping, parents drive their children to school even if it's only am ile or two away, plus of course all the crap we eat now I doubt we'll survive much longer like this.
