i talk quite a lot when i'm with my close friends but i'm not very sociable. people who don't know me well, tell me that i'm distant and sometimes abrupt. the truth is that with some people my mouth refuses to open and my tongue refuses to move (so i can talk ). and when i must be polite and talk i bet others can tell my boredom. i take part in interesting conversations no matter who the people are (but i think only interesting people have interesting conversations).

I speak a lot too although I have moments when I prefer just to be silent. I also speak veryyyyy fast. I remember the comment my friend's mum made when I met her: how I could speak that fast in English when it's not my first language.

I'm an outgoing talkative person. I'm interested in so many subjects that I can talk to just about anyone and find some common ground. I have been married to the same guy for 38 years this year and we still have not run out of things to talk about.

Too much probably. I was always getting in trouble when i was in school for talking too much. All my report cards from elementary school say things how i was a good student but very, very chatty. Still true.. now instead of getting in trouble talking at school I talk alot at work. I am considered to be the entertainment where i work as i always make my friends laugh with my stories and antics. Hey i can't help it if I'm just a social butterfly...

The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

I'm glad to hear he and Kathleen talk a lot. That way I won't have to when we all meet in Jersey. (Fingers crossed that it works out).

I'm EXACTLY!! the same. Sometimes it scares me a little. It can be depressing.

That's great! You don't know how long I've been trying to be more like that. I struggle to find a common ground with most people, as I seem to have different interests to a lot of people. For example there must only be about 5% of people that have similar musical tastes to me, and I don't watch a great deal of TV which everyone else seems to do and expects you to be able to talk about. Although as I get older I am beggining to realise that it's pointless trying to be more outgoing because it's something that I am not.

I don't talk a lot, I just tend to listen a lot, except online, I feel more comfortable expressing myself and can talk more openly.
