Default Html

I have been building small sites for a while now, so know the basics of HTML. Does anyone know of any websites with help on how to build a forum. I don't want to have a large forum, just 1 or 2 pages, but I have no idea where to start.

First look if the ones you have your webspace from also offer forums. Sometimes that's the case. You can also look at the bottom of this page. There's a link where you can get the base for a forum like this. It's php but if you know html it shouldn't be a problem.
Building one on your own with html is more complicated. You need to know about forms and you need to have access to some programs on the server that can use the data the user typed in. Better you ask if you can get this access before you start to write a forum. I'm sure you can also write one with other languages but there you better ask someone else than me.

Why don't you just scank someone elses message board with the right click/view source option, then save it as seperate HTML documents. You can edit the board to your liking by changing the relevant bits of the code. If they are PHP boards it won't work though. Maybe your best option is to find a site that allow you to have a free Bulletin Board.

Why don't you learn the necessary language to build your own message board. It is much more rewarding and you can make it how you want it. I like using Perl.

If you want to build by your own...use some other languages.. I've used ASP to build my own board before..It is the easiest as i was told...or may be Perl or JSP or PHP might do the job for you as well..

But, why bother? Just take other people's ready made board...that is much easier and save lots of time..
