wouldn't like to be in new york when it goes dark tonight, the idea of having to try and find ur way home with only the moon light to help u doesn't appeal to me.

u don;t have to kill lots of people to strike fear. the thought that someone could actually do that and pretty much cripple half of america is a pretty worrying thought and even though it looks totally innocent im sure certain people have lightbulbs going off in their heads just now.

My electricity just flickered a few times...shutting down my computer That got frustrating after a few times. My sister from pittsburgh just called, and told me some of pittsburgh is all out. And my aunt's house is out again Her's always goes out with all the storms, now this

I didn't even know that there was a black out until about 2 hours ago, at about 6:30 -- and it happened at 4...you see how well i watch the news :P And i didn't even learn about it from the news, but from mtv where the little strip of words ran across the bottom -- i was shocked, because i thought it was just this area out, not all of NYC

If you go to 7online.com, it shows a picture of a darkened NYC. It is creepy.

Actually there are still a lot of people stuck out on the streets because their hotels won't let them back in.

Our power finally came back on about 2 hours ago, thank god, but most of New York is still out. A representative from one of the power companies said earlier that in some areas it could take up to 48 hours for power to be completely restored.

Tons of fires broke out in NY last night too. I think a lot were due to people leaving candles unattended. Crazy night.
