Well if he is tried over there, which he should be, he will get the death penalty, most likely a public hanging, seen on TV by almost everyone in the world.

nope for all he did he, in my eyes he should be punished without a proces. What he did is a crime against all the people in the world. I think he is a dangerous man.

Great idea! He abandoned democracy and freedom, why don't we follow in his footsteps! We'll just abandon democracy to punish just this one guy...we'll never behave like him again. We'll pick up democracy right after we publicly hang him without a trial. This won't set a precedent or anything...

Well I see him as a real dangerous and criminal man. I think he is just as bad as hitler or any other idiot that thinks he can rule the world with treats and war!

Ok, lets compare dictators here.
Saddam: Gassed around ten thousand of his own people with US weapons, and invaded one country.
Hitler: Attempted the extermination of multiple racial groups, killed 8 million people in concentration camps, invaded multiple countries, and plunged the the entire world into war.

There's a major difference there. Compared to Hitler, Saddam was just a dilettante. He probably would've liked to be Hitler, but that kind of infamy was out of his reach. He does however compare to Bush, who ordered the invasion of 2 countries, with resultant civilian deaths in the mid five figures.

The problem with bending the rules to exact revenge on one person (however much they might deserve it), is that no government ever lays down its powers that it picks up "just this once". Its like the popular kids book "If you give a mouse a cookie" (or some title like that). If you give a mouse a cookie, he'll want a glass of milk, and if you give him a glass of milk, he'll want... it just keeps going. For example, here in the US, the military can't be used against American citizens. Then that law mutated so the military can only be used against American citizens that are involved in drug cases. Then the military was used at Waco, despite the fact that it was a known fact that that was not a drug case. It'll just keep expanding. I can site easily half a dozen cases where powers taken never get layed down.
