Your english is fine! It's very good for not being your native language! I know that i'll never learn to speak another language fluently, or even close to fluently. You're doing fine!

Jess, are you really going to let KRB dictate to you. Please! The man is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to historical information. I will give him that. He has no idea how to apply it. Which doesn't make him as smart as he likes to think he is.

You on the other hand, know two languages, have experienced life. Not to mention, you have a great sense of humor. You offer a lot more to this board than he ever will. Plus, people LIKE you!!!

I wish I could speak two languages.

Jess you're English is great chuck!

bare in mind that myself and a few others are also writing in dialect a little... so that would be the equivalent of someone who can speak french quite well hearing someone from Provence talk in a strong accent...

i understand everything you say anyway... and you seem to understand the northern style of speech very well!

start a french thread... it will help me to relearn my french also!

Tom

There was a thread about greatest strengths and greatest weaknesses. KRB said French was his greatest weakness. I say we should have a French section. I need the practice. Here's an example of my ability to speak French:
C'est ma vie
C'est maintenant ou jamais
Je ne vivrai pas... euh... um... forever
See? Nobody's perfect!

I'm not sure what KRB did this time, but Jess your English is just fine. 1000% better than my French!

The French thread sounds like a good idea. Like I said, my French is worse than pathetic, but it would be fun to try to participate, especially if the topic is something I know about, like Bon Jovi.

The french topic is a great idea though I don't understand why krb said that Jess' English is that bad. Many other people here (including me) don't speak English perfectly but we understand each other. So I don't know what krb's problem is...maybe he's the problem ;-P
