I hear ya - I don't even try anymore, cause I am officially too old.

I used to be a camp counselor, and we'd confiscate the gameboys overnight cause the kids otherwise would stay up all night. Well, that was our excuse. Truth is, the guys with the nightshift (the people that liked to drink) wanted to play themselves. It wasn't only once that we had to do a late night run for batteries, cause we played all night and had to hand over the devices the next morning....

I never got to go to camp.
Not that I wanted to but, nometimes I wish I'd have had that experience.
Maybe I'll work in one someday, the stories I could tell the kids.

YOu are better off working in one than going to one. Pretty much all the kids that were sent to camp had parents that just couldn't bother. I mean, come on, we had a camp for 5-7 year olds --- why would one send their 5 year old to a camp in a different country with a bunch of strangers for a week????

sweet kids, though.

would have been cool though, it's true that maybe some parents might just say, "i'll just send the kid to camp for a week and we could have time for ourselves", but it would be a great learning experience, and I only say it because a friend of mine works in one and she's always caught up in coming up with stuff to entertain these kids, but when I tell her what to have them do her answer is "what the f*ck will they learn from that!"
so she's interested in teaching them also, so it seems cool.
