I cant believe Golden Balls is going to USA

To be fair, its not like he needs the money is it? More like he's realised hes failing fast as a professional footballer and if he came back to the Premiership he'd get a season, two at max (with major bench warming involved) and he/his family don't want to move to another 'foreign' country so to speak. In moving to America he's got a chance to be somebody again, not just the ex-England captain, but the face of football in that country

To be honest, I'm really sad that he has decided to go to the states. I'm a huge admirer of David, and although it's probably the right decision for himself and Victoria, it's still a huge shame, that we won't see that much of him football-wise over here now. The coaches at Real Madrid are now saying that his Real career is now over having decided to join another club and that they can no longer rely on him, when he'd already said he was 100% behind his teams tital push till the end of the season. It's a huge setback for him and if this is really the case, he may as well up sticks and head over to USA now, if he is not wanted. Good Luck Becks!

Because of the amount of publicity it will bring to the club, and the amount of the shirts David Beckham, will probably sell....

I doubt his name will sell that many more shirts to be honest. Never enough to cover even a small amount of his wages especially for 5 years and you have to remember that football isn't as big a thing in the US as it is over here in Europe.

most of the money he is getting is from sponsors for ads etc not the LA galaxy, as they have caps on what they can pay for players.

Beckham was dropped cos he was underperforming for his club and country. In fact, he had every opportunity to prove himself as a worthy addition to the national team cos the number of times he was included in the England squad under Eriksson just because he is David Beckham was ridiculous. He can cross a ball and take a pretty good free-kick but there are plenty of players who can do that as well as a whole lot of other stuff like having pace, skill and a less volatile on-pitch temperament who do not get the kind of recognition he has - or the wage packet for that matter.

they do have some good players over there now. Beckham should pinch a few from around the world with his wages !!!!!!!!!!!.....
