i got accepted onto the music course last year, im changing it to accountancy this year cos A: the stress is too much running events etc.. B: if im going to do something with music it'll be playing not working for someone else and C: not all musicians ever make enough to drive a convertable but they practically hand u the keys to one when u get an accountancy degree

my bro's still really into the music thing, he's trying to get into tour management and live production (hey he cud organise the xmas do if none of us can be bothered) and he organised a tour for a band from wales that he was supposed to be going on this week. turns out their singer took really ill and wont be doing anything for the next few months so he had to pull a few strings and just run a few gigs all over scotland with no main band. was in dundee the other night with a band from new york that he got doing it and said it was great.

he's a bit of a del-boy just now and i can't see him changing much in the future but it's just something i;ve decided i;m not interested in.

the only thing he needs sorted is a bit more of a business head about him and being more assertive. in the band i'm always the one chasing people up for stuff or having words with people where's he's happy to wait and see wot happens.

he dropped a few hundred quid from a gig on this tour because he foned the bands and said listen the main bands had to pull out so u can either do it or i can give u ur money back.

i was like what the **** man, if they don;t want to do it for any reason wotsoever, they dont get their money back which was actually yours now.
he's just like aye but we wouldn;t like it if a promoter done it to us and i just said, thats the point but, just about every promoter we work with wouldn't give us the money back and you are the promoter on this one not the band.

God that was long
