Yes, I did say what was wrong! No mouse and messed up screen settings. I have since done a quick restore and now one of my disc drives isn't being recoginized, even after I re-installed the software and drivers. I give up.

I have a mac, whatever you're problem is imagine it happening more frequently and the result being the computer crashing, then needing to be turned of at the plug.

Oh, also no programs work because mac's are so incompatable[/code]

Well, I did a quick restore on the computer and it seems to be OK for now. I have a different problem now, however, I'm told that is most likely my mother board. I hate computers! I'm thinking of just buying a new one for myself. I don't have to make any more car payments (I finally own her!!!), so I"m thinking of splurging on a new comp.

Hard to explain, but I'll try. When I first start the computer I have the black screen that shows my computer checking the bios and ram, etc. to make sure it all works OK. But, it doesn't...the screen just goes black and the computer doesn't boot up. Then I have to turn it off and back on really fast and then it scans everything properly and the computer comes on.

hmm, could be something as simple as a motherboard battery on its last legs

but yeah Id say its deff a MB problem, and depending on the age of your system (ie if its socket-7 etc etc) its not worth the hassle sometimes :E

It's about three years old now. My friend at work said it's about time for a new one anyway. I'm going to use this one as long as I can and when it shits out on me, then I'll invest in a new one. Thanks for trying to help. I had a problem one other time with the cmos battery on my old comp? Is that what you're talking about?
