Default I live beneath a herd of elephants....

Or at least that's how loud my upstairs neighbors sound! I've seen them, they are not heavy people, but they stomp on the floor every step they take! Not to mention their love of loud music at 2 a.m.! I think I would have rather weathered out the storms living on the water!

oops. do I live above you???

Jenn, I used to live in an apartment with the most horrid neighbors below me. Single mother with two daughters - she would go out and leave the 10ish year old girls alone at home - the girls fought constantly and not just fighting - the one would lock the other one in a room and the one locked in would scream bloody murder, banging on the door and walls....

That's why I hated living in apartments, this one, fortunately is quite quiet- except for me I am afraid....

OK that's just wrong. Like bordering on neglet/abuse in my opinion! I probably would have called the cops on that one.

I thought of it many times, but we didn't have a phone back then. Fortunately, we lived there only for 2 months.

Have you had a polite word with them??? They may not even realise theyre are doing it. I know it is difficult with flats though, the ones I manage at work have no sound proofing, our tenants complain they can hear the the slightest thing like a neighbours toilet being flushed.

That sucks. Start poking the ceiling with a broomstick. That is what we used to do. Hehe
