listened to zombie. was good overall just a coupla observations from a fellow gigging and recording musician.
the mix wasnt as good as it could have been. the vocals were too loud and very dry u should stick some reverb on them. most of the time u wont even realise but it does make a difference. u want to hear the lyrics but not have everything else lost int he mix as a result. the drums were alot louder than the guitar rythmn guitar too.
the sounds u got were pretty decent tho i didnt really like the phase on the guitar at the intro just a bit too much. the bass was a tiny bit out of tune and ur singer was going flat at some points but its a hard song to sing and she got most of it perfect.
the lead guitar had a really nice sound but instead of cutting it off abruptly u should let it fade out or at least roll back the volume on the guitar. itll sound alot better and if he holds the note while the rest of the chords change it can sound really nice.
how did u record it? by the soundsof it u did it live then added the vocals later on???
wot were u using for the guitars distortions because they were really nice???
. i guess the intro was done with some sort of acoustic simulator like the marshall avt's
u might think im being harsh or something but in the grand scheme of things a few tweaks to the mix, a slight tuning problem and some barely noticable vocal mistakes is pretty ok to come away with if u did it live in one or two takes.
