I think the only reason good enough to leave these boards is if you dont like anything Jovi does, then whats the point of being here.

You do like Jovi so stay. You must care about the board and the people here otherwise you wouldnt have written this post in the first place.

As for nominations, I dont even read them, there not important in my opinion, its meant to be a bit of fun and should be seen like that.

Dawn

i think you're being a bit melodramatic. loads of people get on my nerves with their incessant whining but there is always a middle ground to get on with people whose opinions you don't agree with. opening a thread to put yourself on an ego trip is a bit pitiful, if you ask me. but hey, it's just an opinion.

It does seem to be a waste to be on a board for almost a year and just let something pile up on you, I assume it has been building up and is not just a spur of the moment thing. I cannot say I have read all of your posts, I'm sure you haven't read all of mine. I only go into the topics that interset me.

The only Bongiovi's story I read was one of yours a while ago, they are just too long sometimes for me to be bothered to look at a screen for so long, but , but I did enjoy that one that i did read.

As for all of the negativity, I think it is important for everyone that not everyone likes the same things, that would drive me insane, but it allows us to improve because people point out potential faults in people or whatever. I can understand why though that if you go to a fan site, it would be reasonable to asssume that people there are likely to be saying good things about the band.

As for being an outsider, well I can say I've "met" some great people that I would not have known otherwise. It was through this board that I "met" them and am grateful for that at least. But there have been others that I probably would have preferred not meeting, but that leads to my next paragraph.

The Jovitalk Awards, I haven't won any Jovitalk award, even though I would like to get my own level thing, it isn't that important in the great scheme of life. If you did win it, would you be able to take it home and shine it up and put it on the mantle for people to see? It's just 1 kilobite on a message board. I only reason I was nominated that time was because Dan, a highschool mate, voted for me and I only came 3rd or something, I really can't remember because it was pretty trivial to me. It happened again this year, he voted for me a few times, and I voted for him a few times, and all of a sudden it was like we had committed an unspeakable crime and letitrock nominated us for "pricks of the year" which i would have wanted because no one else was nominated. The point is I got a quite a bit upset that just because I decided to have fun on the board. But then I remembered, "why should I give a damn that someone who hates fun should stop me from having fun?" so I kept on posting, I didn't letitdrivemeaway.

I'm done rambling, go about your business.

Sorry Keba but I agree with Richie too. At the end of the day its only a message board, try not to take everything to heart. Everyone has different opinions, thats what makes for good debate and discussion isnt it?? Hope you re-think your decision, it would be a shame to lose you.

I give you 15 minutes max and you be back!!!

Like others have stated alot of message boards are like this. They are boards about a band. So with that you will get posts both liking the band and what they do and other posts not agreeing with what the band are doing. It balances everything out nicely.

I dont always agree and some people I could cheerfully scream at for their carry on. But in the end you just gotta not let it bother you.

I dont think people care too much if you love Bounce and dont like These days. I mean I personally love These Days but thats because it appeals to me and we all have differing tastes in music.

I wouldnt take awards or not being noticed when your not here as personal. Nobody really notices when someone isnt around. There are too many members to notice. Plus the most succesful people never get noticed they just do their thing quietely and dont need accolades.

Kat

You're leaving because you don't feel accepted here? And because you didn't win an award? If these things matter that much to you, then I think you should take a long hard look at your life, and realise that acceptance on an internet message board isn't the most important thing in life.

Also, if you're in love with Bon Jovi, then I think you need to seek help.

This probably hasn't persuaded you to stay, but if you're happiness really depends as much on this message board as it appears, then I would suggest you do leave, and look for some satisfaction in real life.

Alright, I knew one of these topics would come up, I am sorry Keba. When I look at this board, I see a variety of people from different backgrounds. Different places, different people and when that happens, disagreements start. I don't think you should leave, I just think you should shrug off the people that tend to get on your nerves. What you said about people liking Bounce and some liking These Days is true. If you don't really like These Days here people tend to bash you, but it's life. You have to learn to accept it. I showed my pride by not liking it at all. I still don't and you shouldn't let others influence your opinion. It's like brain washing. I notice a lot of people with the Anti-TLFR avatars and signatures... Hey, if that is what you want to do, that is what you want to do. I won't influence them or any others. About the "Bon Jovi is Done" stuff... I just think Bon Jovi has matured in their music and is exploring the aspects of the industry and people don't like it. They want the same old stuff. Every band tends to change a bit and when Bon Jovi changes, it's the end of the world for some people. I don't think they have lost their touch as a band, just look at how well Crush did... Bounce didn't do bad either and the band was VERY proud of it, and they should be. Every album takes a piece of the band's heart. Bon Jovi does what they want to do, and if they change... You can either, ride along with them, or hop of the band wagon. Simple as that.

Ryan
