The real truth is that alcoholics drink alcohol, non-alcoholics don't drink alcohol.

If you think, "I'm grabbing myself a beer when I get home", you are an alcoholic. If you say to someone, "Let's go to the bar or liquor store and get something to drink." You are an alcoholic.

If you enjoy any alcoholic beverages at all, you are an alcoholic.

Most alcoholics only think permadrunks are alcoholics, but it's just a matter of degrees, it's the same book and the same story and to discern a difference is splitting hairs.

I think our man here is a recovering alcoholic or has been affected personally by one and his way of staying on the wagon is looking at it like that.,,,
