i'm being totally serious here but instead of skirting round the subject y not just straight out tell her how ****ed up she is and that u don;t make a habit of hanging around with ****ed up people and u'll help her as much as u can if she wants help but if she doesn;'t then u won;t be her friend anymore?

sometimes it takes str8 tactics and home truths for some people to get the point.

I don't think my dad who has experience in this matter would agree with u there Jim Bon Jovi. Make or break I think would be a good name for that tactic.

what i'm saying is that sometimes people don't know how bad they are or how much they're affecting people around them until it's made crystal clear to them.

Personaly i think your stuck lol. If you go to her parents or the police she will feel you have betrayed her and go further into depression. A pshyc would help but you cant really force her to open up to them. Best thing to do is be there for her and try to find something like a new hobbie for her something that would cheer her up a little and take her mind of stuff. Its more than likely the drugs that are keeping her in a rut as she probelry feels there the only way she can be happy.

A friend (yes she's still a friend) went to talk to my mother when i was younger, she wasn't sure how my mum should react but she didn't know what to do, she knew i needed some help .... at this time i had some real problems with some sort of medecine and in my family they haven't seen anything. Her mum tried to talk with me first ..... but i didn't care.
When my mum told me Barbara told her about my problems i was so angry ....... shocked, surprised and all ....
I can't say it was easy for none of us during some times, but she did right, i was lost and in danger, really. She's my friend and as she said once she was ready to lose my friendship but she didn't want to lose me, if you see what i mean.

If you don't want to talk to her parents, how about a teacher or someone that you trust and that you know might get through to her. You shouldn't have to deal with this yourself. You could also talk to your parents and ask them for advice, or maybe they can help when you talk to her. Either way, this girl needs help and quickly.

i'm going to leave it at this but jess just reminded me of a good friend of mine i grew up with.

his name was peter, cracking guy and was always easy to get along with. anyway peter's mum was in a wheelchair and needed alot of help and he didn;t have a dad so he had alot of responsibility for just being a teenager.

he was the year above me in school and i moved to the scheme across the road from where i used to stay so didnt see him as much and then one night my sister came in and said one of her friends who was really close to him found him in his room with a bottle of empty pills.

turns out he'd had enough of it and didn;t think he had anyone to turn to or anything like that.

the next week at school the headmaster had an assembly in his memory and started off by saying "they say that no man is an island" meaning no one is truly alone ever, even when they think they may be, so go and talk to her and try and sort it out before anything serious happens.

How sensitive and caring of you. Maybe you'd care if it was your sister or girlfriend.
