in the UK

there is a report out today saying that the UK has the highest number of teenage pregant in europe does that mean we have the most slappers, or is it that sex is too over exsposed and if it is and carries on at the same level what will it be like when our children are our age?

maybe because of a bad information .... not all the teenagers who can talk to their parents or with an adult about so many things they don't really know and understand.

Hasn't that been the case for years?? The Uk has always had the highest teenage pregnancy and the highest abortion rate. Has nothing to do with slappers, has to do with the backward way the educational system goes about sex education and the age of consent. If you treat sex as a taboo and not give good advice about contraceptives you will keep this problem.

Visit working class towns/cities outside of tourist areas and you will think differently.

Lived around those areas and you definitely have a point. However, there aren't that many to make sure that the UK has the highest teenage pregnancy rate, although they contribute their fair share. There are just as many middle class girls who get pregnant too.

Sorry, tend to disagree there. I did my dissertation on sex education in schools, specifically about section 28. You'd be surprised what some of the students actually said. Some of them had never received sex education and a lot said that the teachers were so embarressed talking about it that it was pointless. Believe me, if kids were receiving good sex education, the teenage pregnancy rate would lower.

true i had this problem at my school...i think we had a couple of 'lessons' but the teacher was like some scared cat dragged out of the woods....and ppl next to me coudlnt stop laughing about the word 'cum' (geeeze)...so it was pretty pointless
