I was just wondering, whether actually it is possible to fall in love through net, i mean without meeting other person???.

maybe you can 'fall in love' with someone, but real love through the internet doesn't exist IMO... I mean - there comes a point where you want to meet someone, right? And things can be so different irl!

You can feel attracted to a person by the things he/she says to you by email. And a picture can also look very good. And maybe you think you are falling in love, but the only way to get a good and real picture of a person is to meet him/her. Then you can hear a voice, the way he/she moves and acts. And believe me.... it can be very disappointing.....

So I don't think you can really fall in love only by internet.

I totally agree with Sara and Plien...I saw a tv programme about this a few months ago and heard some stories...Certainly, you can feel a connection, share same interests/thoughts but sooner or later you have to meet the person and spend time together...

A friend of mine met her boyfriend through a datingsite. They now live together and are expecting a baby. They are extremely happy! So it can work. But I think the majority of internet dates end up in disappointment or just friends.

I've met some great people through the internet and some of them became really good friends. But I don't think I will meet my Mr. Right on the net :P

Lol, my sister fell in love with one guy this way and I think that's stupid. IMO, you don't fall in love with the person, you just fall in love because you want so...And after that you suffer because that person is far away from you so you can't see each other
But every rule has it's exceptions

I was talking to someone about this the other day, and they said they'd fallen in love with someone on the net. But I can't understand how you can fall in love with words.....

yup. the thing is, it's an edited version of the person. Not too unlike big brother cept they're the ones doing the editing not some telly company to make the person look a certain way.

The same can be done on just about any message board but if you;'re actually trying to pull then there's a much bigger reason and thus a much bigger chance of someone either lying or being creative with the truth and it isn't till you really meet them till you find out.

People find out new stuff about people theyve seen everyday for years, you can't find out everything in a few meeting and some conversations on messenger.
