very true, if you do fall in love through a message board it is purely that person you dream up to be based on a few messages posted - certainly not the real person.

As Jim suggested, a lot of people are not exactly what they portray themselves to be - and I don't mean they are lying, but people generally have high opinions of themselves even if they aren't warranted. Kind of like most people consider themselves a 'great catch' though there really isn't such a thing.

Dating services are no different. Usually, people don't fall in love before they meet and if they do - RUN!!!!

There was a post very similiar to this a long time ago, towards the beginning of the year - unfortunatly, I'll never be able to find it - I'm not spending an hour or two shifting through old pages for the correct topic. A lot of people posted their opinions in there from love from message boards, chatrooms, dating services compared to real life - arranged, set-ups or just chance meetings. Many things were covered.
