Thanks all!

I don't have any khakis. I've got a pair of khaki cargo pants, but those look like they've been through a war - not first impression clothes. So I guess it's jeans and the button up, no tie.

Thanks again!

Adrian

I'm guessing then you don't have options if you are going that route, but do keep in mind that wearing Jeans is a pretty bad idea for the most part when it comes to interviews for any type of job that doesn't involve manual labor. Invest in some new Khakis. I hope the jeans you plan to wear are at least nice looking and not just blue jeans or you can pretty much forget about the job. You do need to show you give a sh**.

I have to agree with BP. Go and buy a pair of khakis. They are $40 at Old Navy and you will use them, on this job or the next

Except for when jeans are involved.

Everybody in my department wears jeans, still I and showed in a suit for my interview. I also expect any other potential candidate to NOT show in jeans - even though we wear them. Get hired, then wear jeans, not before

Picked up a pair of khakis over lunch. And another dress shirt, it's whitish with a not-overpowering print of plants growing on the left side (no, it doesn't look as bad as it sounds). So it's khakis and the new shirt, khakis and the black shirt with the stripes, or khakis with a plain black dress shirt. I plan on rolling the sleeves up on whichever shirt I wear.

Any suggestions? Thanks much!

Adrian

i'd go with either of the black shirts.

the one you bought sounds like somethign you'd wear to the dancing and IMO the colour wouldn't go as well with the khaki's.

but what do i know?

^^^I think I look better with the sleeves rolled up. And I don't roll them up to my shoulders, just a few neat folds to about 2/3s up my forearms.

And Jim, I thought the exact same thing about the shirt with the vegetation print.

metro sexual.

could be worse, I have a shirt that's fitted and so uncomfortable to wear it's unbelievable but i love it because it looks good and makes me look thinner the way it's cut.
