excuse the total random postings on my behalf on account of the new crap wine my work has.

who;s got one of these bad boys. my bro just bought his girlfriend one for her birthday (yes yes they should get married already, ive already told them)

but anyways. i don't like technology man but this little thing sounds as cool as a polar bears balls. ripping full albums onto it in minutes n all that.

I think I'm going to get one. my bro (aka the fatter, stupider, uglier version of my good self) is talking bout getting a 20 gig one. apparently a gig holds 250 tunes thats like 6 million songs (aka 5000) he only has about 4 decents cd's and the rest are zig and zag singles

who else has one?

i wasn't wholly untruthfully about my bro's diabolical record collection. he does has 2 zig and zag singles, dragon the bruce lee story soundtrack and panflute favourites, a double cd of your favourite tunes played by the mellowing sounds of the panflute

I have the 40 gig. It's the best thing on earth - I swear - I'd like to make love to mine if it was at all possible. Might marry it actually.

I originally got it because I got tired of hauling cds and portable cd player around when travelling. I never had the cds I wanted and I HATE taking cds out of cases and putting them back --- how incredibly annoying. Anyway, I took it to the gym, and loved it so much more than my portable cd player (yes, I never got with the mp3 player thing - just the limited storage never seemed much better than a cd player to me).

Now, I got the radio transmitter - you plug the ipod into the transmitter and put the radio on the same frequency --- then you listen to your music through the radio. Genius!! Of course you young kids grow up with it, but to me - this is BRILLIANT!!

My son wants one too and his collection consists of one double The Who album, one weezer album and he confiscated my Killers album. I think the 20 gig will do for him .... no, I won't get one for him - not until the price drops significantly on the 20 gig.

I only have 30 gigs on it as of now.

I've heard they are going to discontinue the 40gig cause they just came out with a 60 gig

I told you technology scares me. I'm thinking the 20 gig mofo is oppulent and unneeded n they're hitting us with a 60 one...

because once you figure it out it becomes your life and you fill it up in no time and you use it 20 hours a day and cannot breathe if you wake up in the morning and can't look at it first thing.

(ok maybe not soooo much)


But the 60 gig will allow you to store pics as well, so there is reason why you might need more capacity.

I've got a 20GB and I love it! The best thing is hooking it up to a car sound system and play your whole library randomly for hours and hours and hours . I never go anywhere without it!

20GB is enough for me, I just don't need to store all my songs on there. But my brother has 40GB, has all his cd's on it and still complains about lack of storage...
