yeah my girlfriends going to uni to get a degree in primary teaching next year and ur talking about 316-18K a year when u graduate.

u cud be not too far off that doing something menial like cleaning or working in a kitchen.

i think it's a joke for how hard they have to work. i'm going to uni to do a degree in accountancy. i'm good at it and it doesn't bother me how boring it is but i'm looking at a minimum startin wage of 30K and for sitting around having a computer do calculations for me that's not too shabby in my opinion.

bet u didnt know that in my standard grades i got one of the top 3 marks in the whole of scotland for accounting and finance. my mate who was in the same class also got a top 3. think i was 2nd or sumfin but he wasn't totally sure.

friend of my parents did his accounting degree, moved to Guernsey and makes a fortune (well, more than enough). It's a good area to go into, unless capitalism caves in on itself

because it actually works. wish the tree hugging commies could get their brainwashed skulls round this idea.

y do all commies and socialist and general anti capitalist people think that capitalism is some evil conspiracy?

i'm neither a commie, hippie, socialist, or anti-capitalist

i'm more a socialist than the others, but at the same time the welfare system in this country is just completely taken advantage of and so doesn't work. It only works for one if it works for all in theory, yet in practice it works for some but not others

exactly it works for the people who don't deserve it. the people who don't pay into it get away with it.

in my shop we have a post office and the amount of people just in a small area who go and cash their giro's then spend it all on booze and fags right away is disgraceful now imagine it across the whole country.

but the people who do take the arse out of the system are OK and the people who genuinelly rely on it get a raw deal.

case point: my best mates dad injured his hand at work years ago and as a result can't work. the social are never off the phone trying to catch him out working or doing stuff he shouldn't be doing so they can cut him off.

my girlfriends dad is the same. his backs terrible and theres times where he's laid up for weeks on end cos he can't get out of bed but they're always trying to catch him too.

then u get people like taxi drivers who r working and signing on too.
