Actually most clothes today are for skinny girls. Check out Victoria's Secret Catalog!

Neither fat nor anorexic is ideal - both are bad for you health - physical and mental.

I pretty much stopped eating when I was in 8th grade. Being anorexic is horrible for your health. I got to the point where if I did eat meat or anything with fat in it, I would have horrible cramps. I would get vicious stomach aches at least once a week. My side continually hurt, sometimes to the point of not being able to walk (gall bladder). I had major problems with feminine issues. And the WORST part is since I did start eating like a human being again, I gain weight easily because I managed to kill my metabolism.

It's probably part of the reason my immune system is so weak now.

The key is moderation. No one should starve themselves to loose weight. No one should feel like being thin is more important than being healthy. It's NOT worth it!

But you know what, if I didn't have a better grasp on reality, I would want to go back to that for the sake of being as thin as possible just because of the pressure society places on girls about their looks. To this day, part of me wants to have that kind of "control." I look back on photos and even at the thinnest I ever was, at the time, I thought I was huge, like 300 lbs or something. It's so weird to look back and see just HOW screwed up your body perception can be. Eating disorders are like alcoholism. There's no cure. And since food is part of life, they're one of the hardest mental issues a person can deal with.

i know a couple of people who have been/ still are anorexic and i just think u look terrible so why bother but on the flip side fat people arent exactly looking fine either.

nothign wrong with a bit of junk in the trunk but when ur getting jiggy u need a fine balance between not havign to worry about someone breakign in 2 and someone squashing u to death.

My cousin had anorexia when she was in her teens, she was a very promising athlete, won Finnish Championships in running and stuff, and her coach thought she was a bit fat (she was of course very muscular, being a sprinter) and at that age, she was very fragile. So she got anorexia, her parents noticed after a year or so, took the coach a lot longer to notice

It's more than 15 years later now, and she still has problems related to that - she loses a lot of hair, has never got her periods properly running etc... She is very sick in a lot of ways, some of it might not have to do with her anorexia but some of it does.

The worst thing about that was that she wasn't even fat, just very muscular, and it was her coach whose remark started all that!

Overweight, when excessive, isn't healthy for you, but anorexia results in so many problems for so long in your life.

My sister's friend was always very promising at everything she did. She loved animals and wanted to become a vet... which for her I think meant 3 As in Science, Physics and Biology just to get onto the course at university... then of course all the extra work and training. She was also really into horseriding, and she was really a very beautiful natural person, but got it into her head that she was fat (and she was REALLY thin to begin with)... each time we saw her she was thinner and thinner and you almost fell like you should say something, but know that that is potentially the worst thing that you can do. One day she'd fallen off the horse and been trampelled and had bruises all over her, which showed all the more for her build... I think that that almost showed her the state of her body and that she wasn't fat. She has looked a lot lot better the last few years that I have seen her, but I'm not sure if the problem goes that easily away.

Do you think there is ever a carthartic moment like this? What is it for different people?

You're the only one that finds that funny then, because I don't. Maybe if you are a small person height wise you can go to the kids section but if all you are is what you are joking about, being "skinny", then you still buy clothes normally.

Also nothing worse than someone who laughs alone at his own jokes

Nice to see you have such an interesting concern on the subject. You didn't like Supersonic calling you chubby either. Becky made a few serious comments about the matter and all you can say is good point followed by the fact you have overtaken someone in posts.
