Is freedom of speech dead?

Hmmmmmmmmmmm, i'm glad i aint the only one whose noticed whats been happening of recent!

not just recent. my point was bullied until i'd reached about 1000 posts.

I dont understand how people who like the same group can sit and call people names cos they dont agree on other things!

And what you say about until you got to 1000posts, to me who ever sits and bullies someone just cos they have a low number is really pathetic!

it happens in all situations, the newbies have to fit in first. if someone thought i was wrong, everybody backed them up and in the end you just gave up arguing.

the arguments are really sad. i try not to argue with people in real life but on a message board i just find it inconceivable that anyone would want to start a fight.

diversity is a great thing, let's not drive it, and new joiners, away.

Totally agree Yvonne. It's a shame. Although I like the diversity here, but I think it is a shame that some start name calling and such. Maybe the heat is getting to us all!!

I have noticed a sort of 'If u say anything critical about the band u r great' culture.

With some of the higher posters backing this up & really sticking up for each other - to the point where it becomes a name calling game - with obviously the numbers stacked; 'bullying' could be a term & hence alienating some of the ppl who are relatively new.

Hence why this board has become fairly negative on a whole recently as compared to normal.

And is it going to change?

That's up to all of us, I guess...

I think it is fear of becoming like Backstage. That is an extreme, and over here lately is the other extreme. Hopefully it will all even out. After Friday, nobody can continue to bash the shows because there won't be anymore to bash.
