Medications don't cure mental illnesses, they just subside symptoms so those who have mental problems can live somewhat normal lives. If you put someone on medication, they may get *better* but take it away & they are a mess all over again. It is wrong, that's all there is to it. Nobody choses to be mentally ill & to make them better only to kill them is ludicrous! Sh*t, may as well kill them while their mind is gone if your gonna do it. A lot of people with mental illness don't comprehend death so I feel this is an extreme form of punishment! I guess I don't fully understand the question though. I think it is wrong so that's my answer but were these people mentally ill when they performed the crimes that led to their conviction? Did they go crazy after being caged up in prison? Have they been diagnosed by a psychiatrist as having a mental disorder? It's strange. I can't recall hearing anything like that happening in America. Here, if you plead temporary insanity for killing someone, they just throw you in prison and/or execute you - depending on the crime you committed. I'm sure there is more to it than just that and a judge/jury decides whether or not you were temporarily insane and are fit to stand trial. I guess my question is......why make them better to kill them? Just do it!
